Montreal Fashion Week: Fall/Winter 2011-12

Marché_Bonsecours

While hopping on a plane and heading to Milan, Paris, London or New York for Fashion Week would be nice, alas only celebrities, fashion editors, esteemed photographers and sought-after fashion bloggers have the luxury. Luckily, smaller cities hosts fashion weeks of their own, and next stop on the schedule is Montreal. Beginning next week, fashion aficionados can take in the Fall/Winter collections by both established and budding Canadian designers.  What’s more, the Showroom returns for the 20th edition of MFW, offering the public the chance to purchase samples from the collections before they hit store shelves. Household names like Quebec darling Denis Gagnon are among the roster of designers showing this year, alongside new kids on the block, like up-and-coming menswear designer Christian Deslauriers aka Christian L’Enfant Roi. Montreal Fashion Week runs from February 7-10 at Marché Bonsecours. For the full schedule of events, please visit montrealfashionweek.ca.
